Half hourly 9A Sunday day time, 46 will terminate at the pier to help reliability, 9A will continue from NSL to Toll Bar. Service 31A&32A in Scunthorpe will be half hourly on a Sunday day time to !

I wonder if these could be improvements to early morning and evening services?

I suspect the 31/31A/32/32A changes might be the extra Thursday night runs for late night Christmas shopping, which I think starts about 5-6 weeks before Christmas?

Thanks for the info admet. A significant enhancement to Sunday bus services in Scunthorpe. Is Scunthorpe town centre busy on Sundays, or is the demand coming from elsewhere (Hospital, Tesco etc)?

And just a note on comments - due to the amount of spam posted on here I have to moderate comments. Anonymous at 1114/1228 were therefore unaware of admet's comment when they made theirs.

Sunday trading in most places is on the up, the hourly service on each route (30 mins headway) is getting very busy so giving each route a 30 min service with a 15 min headway should be a positive move !! Same with the hourly 9A in Grimsby, its grown allot on a Sunday but struggles for time with its link to the 46 so breaking it from that and making it half hourly again can only be a positive thing !

Certainly nice to have a positive news story.

Any chance the Humber Fastcat could go hourly on Sundays - or at least a timetable recast to remove the 3 hour gaps. I know the train connections are responsible for the gaps, but no bus from Barton between 11am and 2pm makes the service a bit unattractive for Sunday shopping (11am arguably a bit early to go, 2pm too late)

Great to see enhancements to the Sunday dayime 31A/32A's in Scunthorpe - long overdue, as over the past few years these journeys have gradually got busier and busier, although I don't think most of that traffic is the town centre, as very few shops are open - but rather Tesco. The 31A/32A seemed to be very well used on Sundays to Tesco from all over town - I have witnessed queues of over 20 passengers waiting before to board a 31A...

Next step for me would be increasing the 350 to hourly Sunday daytimes, and keeping the Ashby extensions (But instead of numbering them 350 - make them run as Route 6 - If Ashby Road and estates can support 6+ buses an hour during the week, an hourly sunday service should be no problem?

Certainly a couple more 350's filling the lunch time gap from Barton and another around 5pm from Hull as shops shut and a late night Friday and Saturday service would be good to access Hull theatres.

Changes now on traveline for Scunthorpe. 31A's leave Scunthorpe at xx00 and xx30, and the 32As at xx15 and xx45, so a 15 minute combined frequency to Bottesford area (Better than during the week in some parts!) Both services start at 9am and run until 5:30/5:45pm, then drop onto the standard weekday evening timetable until 10-11pm.
